Susan Durdle is from Sydney, Nova Scotia. As a Cape Bretoner with Scottish roots, she has been creating clothing and accessories for almost two decades. Susan specializes in East Coast tartans because it’s what she knows. Her creations started as a hobby and quickly developed into a business when she realized there was a niche market for people looking to showcase their East Coast heritage and pride.

Sew East Coast has been growing ever since, and offers a wide variety of products for people and their pets. Her current collection consists of infinity scarves, as well as scarves in regular designs. The newest addition to the collection includes tartan dog bandanas. All products are available in a variety of tartans: Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Canadian Maple Leaf, and Black Watch.
